HIGH PRIESTESS MEETS MOON

The Moon & High Priestess move beautifully with the current Moon in Pisces – as they subtly influence you to listen to your intuition and tap into your inner nurturer. Rather than take on board what others are saying, check their body language, and take note! If you are experiencing an element of uncertainty, choose meditation or self-reflection to gain perspective. This is a chance to let the lovely nuances of life and love shine through…

3 of CUPS: CELEBRATE!

Your Daily Tarot is the Three of Cups, which represents coming together, filling yourself up on love – opening up, spending quality time with special people. It’s about joining in celebrations, mixing and mingling – socialising, finding that fling or picking your partner. Engagements, weddings and reunions are big with the Three of Cups. This card may mean locating a support group, networking with friends, healing an emotional wound, or some serious indulgence (perfect with Moon in Scorpio right about now!). The Number 3 linked to the Cups (Water element) is indicative of fertility, and often brings on pregnancy, a birth or even triplets. It’s your cue to take some time out, heal emotionally, and to touch on your creative side. If career is playing with your mind, look into the healing/helping professions, hospitality, or work primarily dealing with children. Go with your intuition – this is not a time to think it out, it’s about feeling your way through…

THE POPE (R): SHAKE IT UP!

Your Daily Tarot is The Heirophant or Pope (Reversed), which instantly points to you changing your mind or taking on a different attitude towards something or someone. Or maybe a situation or relationship, that you figured was set in stone, suddenly shifts and shakes. Maybe a certain connection or set of circumstances isn’t what you first thought, you aren’t impressed with how things have developed… or you have just changed. The Heirophant is Number 5 in the Tarot Deck, which is indicative of change. But in reverse mode, it is no longer about tunnel-visions that aim to change everyone else, it is about change to make your personal zone better!

This card is ruled by Taurus which, when turned on its head, loses the Taurean stubbornness – it means you are tired of the same-ol’ same-ol’, have lost your fear of personal modifications, and want to break down those self-imposed blocks. You are done with tradition and anything too established – you don’t want to play by the same regulations any more. Any fanaticism falls by the wayside, as you are willing to take on board guidance from a new mentor or gain information from fresh authority. Expect to be pulled between doing the ‘right thing’ and going left-of-centre. But be true to yourself – this is so of the essence right about now.

7 of CUPS (R)>CUPS RUNNETH OVER!

Your Daily Tarot is the Seven of Cups (reversed)… which immediately puts a film of confusion across your reality. You have different zones of your life in front of you, and they may not taste as sweet as they look! They all seem to need attention, and this can be emotionally draining – to the max. If you’re getting caught up in a web of dreams, fantasies or fears, you won’t be able to take the next step until you make an effort to lick them. This card reversed is about abandoning your pipe dreams and starting to build something tangible – something you can really taste. The decisions in front of you may feel overwhelming, but if you weigh up the pros and cons you will achieve direction. The Seven of Cups is a wish card, but reversed, it’s about being careful what you wish for, because you may just regret you ever asked for it! It’s important you separate reality from illusion, and avoid your drug of choice. Escapism needs to be the last thing on your list, particularly, as the Suit of Cups may tempt you sexually or emotionally. Love triangles, nasty one-nighters or sex-with-the-ex could rock your feeling nature and bring on ugly jealousy. Solution: put temporary pleasure on the backburner until you know exactly what you need…

THE EMPEROR: WARRIOR!

Your Daily Tarot is The Emperor, strongly ruled by Aries & Mars. And with the Moon also in Aries today, you get a double-whammy! Your inner Emperor commands that everything be run efficiently and is totally organised (numerical 4 likes that) …and The Emperor won’t settle for any slow workers, lazy attitudes or disobedient down-liners! The Emperor needs to be in charge, and he/she likes to be creative doing it. The Emperor lacks a little patience, but this can be excused because of his/her bravery and assertion. It’s time to begin that new venture, take on that challenging relationship, wear that new attitude. Let your Warrior Woman or Warrior Man/Boi shine today…

KNIGHT OF COINS (R)>HARD WORK!

Your Daily Tarot is the Knight of Pentacles reversed (commonly known as Coins; and, like all Court Cards, this card could relate to you or someone in your life – often a dark-haired/dark-eyed individual and/or an Earth sign: Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn). The Knight of Pentacles is the only Knight in the Tarot deck who isn’t moving and sits firmly on his horse. Well, up until his/her feet slip out of the stirrups, as his/her world starts to feel like it’s turning upside down! ‘Stubborn’ is his/her middle name, and in reverse position, a feeling of stuckness could be on the cards – but he/she has settled into that position by bad choice! This card is more about looking at what you have created or allowed in your world that has morphed into fully hard work.

Maybe it’s your job, your business, your finances, your domestic situation, your relationship, or even the state of your health. How have you set things up so that you don’t have downtime, aren’t excited about getting up in the morning, aren’t nourishing your being, aren’t treating your body like a temple, are contaminating your space…? Clearly you need to make changes so you can breathe better, formulate regular me-time, feel positive about your day, are happy to see the face that looks at you across the table – or in the mirror (!)

DAILY TAROT:10 of COINS – COMPLETION!

The Ten of Pentacles (also titled Coins or Discs) is an indication that, despite the obstacles that have tripped you up on your journey, you finally reach completion and are served some kudos! A sense of accomplishment comes with your career, finances, domestic zone, or relationships, as things come together and you can bang your chest with pride. It’s time to chill and enjoy your gains – you’ve worked your butt off in one way or another – and you can confidently blow your own trumpet. You ensure that loved ones are in a good place; and come to terms that the link with your ancestory is seriously significant.

An awesome card for investment and property-related growth, knowing that you are on the road to monetary increase. If you are waiting on a lump sum, payback, big sale or pay-rise, this could be coming closer. If you want to take a relationship to the next level, this could be locked in very soon. This card is about dissing the short-term benefits of a situation, item, or relationship, and taking on board the long-term possibilities. Consistency is the key to the Ten of Pentacles, and it may be the  windup of all you have done in the last 10 years, months or weeks… oh yeah!

DAILY TAROT: QUEEN OF CUPS (REVERSED)!

As is the case with all Court Cards, the Queen of Cups (reversed) can manifest as a person in your life or as a part of yourself. If this is an external manifestation, this card often presents a mature (either age-wise or attitudinal) female, with blonde to brown hair, and/or frequently a Water sign (Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces). The Queen of Cups (reversed) tends to turn emotions on their head, brings subconscious feelings to the surface, and can muffle intuition. However, this is when you need to trust your inner voice the most and refuse to give in to co-dependency, manipulation or, on the flip side, distancing yourself from those you love. Search thoroughly for what it is you need to learn from the person involved or from your current behaviour. This is when a group hug or serious intimacy can do you the most good…

DAILY TAROT: KNIGHT OF CUPS REVERSED

While the Knight of Cups Reversed highlights semi-truths and undercurrents in relationships, when you touch on your feelings, you may just get a lightbulb moment. On some level the colour has been drained from yourself and a relationship. Are you only focused on feeding your senses and denying what your higher self or deeper self desires? You have a handle on what satisfies you on a superficial level – now you need to nourish your solid self. It’s about moving forward and letting go, particularly with relationships that are swimming in a pool of mud.

The only way to change emotionally stuck relationships is for both parties to own and be willing to change dysfunctional behaviour or relating techniques. The Reversed Knight of Cups doesn’t do relationship drama or craziness well, tending to retreat rather than deal. Increased demands within a relationship are uncomfortable, leading to resentment of pounding pressure – emotionally, sexually and mentally. Your feelings head south when lies, manipulation or deception show their ugly face, as you duck the drain of energy landing on your plate.

On the flip side, providing there isn’t too much water under your bridge, you can turn this on its head with a little understanding, compassion and honest communication in the mix. Oh, and this may not apply to a romantic relationship – it could link to a family member, colleague or friend. Whatever the connection, this is your chance to pull yourself out of the quicksand and be true to you…

7 OF WANDS: BACK ON TOP!

Today’s Tarot card is the Seven of Wands, which is about upholding your position at the top or climbing on top despite the obstacles. As you compete and struggle with others who want to parallel your success, keep your head high. It’s about repeatedly proving yourself, as others desire the same position as you. The spectrum of arenas this could occur starts at career and finances, spreads over to relationships, or takes its place within your family and social circle. The challenge is about knowing what you are capable of and staying on top! As this card is not in its Reversed mode, it won’t be difficult to maintain your position, because your strength and determination will be powerful. Continue to stand up for what you believe in and don’t be afraid to face-off with people who try to block you. Draw a strong line and show your opposition that there will be no negotiation at this time – no compromise. Hold your ground and point your nose where you want to go. You can’t top this card!
